Con queste fotografie studio la trasformazione della Virtus Roma attraverso i ritratti dei suoi tifosi, partendo dalla mia famiglia e arrivando agli amici. Lo faccio nel tentativo di restituire un filo che attraversa il tempo e continua a ridefinirsi.
With these photographs, I explore the transformation of Virtus Roma through portraits of its fans, starting from my family and extending to friends. I do this in an attempt to trace a thread that runs through time and continues to redefine itself.
Questo progetto nasce dalla tensione tra il ricordo e la rinascita che ho vissuto passo dopo passo, tra ciò che è stato e ciò che continua a esistere sotto altre forme. La Virtus Roma non è soltanto una squadra ma una traccia persistente nella mia vita, un segno che attraversa il tempo e si deposita nelle storie di chi l’ha vissuta. Il lavoro si costruisce come uno spazio di relazione in cui la mia memoria personale si intreccia con quella collettiva, generando un racconto stratificato e aperto, in divenire, non chiuso finché avrò tempo di raccontare.
Questi ritratti non cercano mai la sola celebrazione né la nostalgia ma si avvicinano a una dimensione più fragile. I volti emergono come superfici attraversate da esperienze, segnate da appartenenze che non si esauriscono nel dato sportivo. Il legame tra il tifoso e la sua squadra emerge come qualcosa di intimo e necessario. La Virtus Roma diventa così un dispositivo emotivo, capace di attivare ricordi, di costruire identità, di tenere insieme differenze.
